How do I start with ElasticSearch? 

Order a Savvii ElasticSearch plan.


You add ElasticSearch to your WordPress website with the ElasticPress plugin. We install and activate it for you on the first site. We already fill in the credentials associated with your ElasticSearch package for you. 


You need to perform the following actions to complete the install:

  • Do a first index by clicking the 'index' button in the top right of the plugin.
  • Configure how you use ElasticSearch on your website on the settings tab of the plugin.
  • Test your configuration by performing a search.

 I have an ElasticFive or ElasticTen plan. How do I activate ElasticSearch for multiple websites? 

  • Install and activate the ElasticPress plugin on the website(s) you want to hook up to your ElasticSearch package.
  • Copy and paste the credentials from the ElasticPress plugin that we already filled in for you to the settings of the ElasticPress plugin of the other websites.
  • Do a first index by clicking the 'index' button in the top right of the plugin.
  • Configure the ElasticPress plugin for your websites.
  • Test your configuration by performing a search.

 Help! It does not work like I expected.

  • Look at the configuration and settings page of the ElasticPress plugin. Are there errors or red dots? Examine these first.
  • Look at your error-log via the Savvii plugin en fix these errors.
  • Install the debug bar ElasticPress panel (standard debug bar plugin required) for even more insights.
  • Contact Savvii support.
