Creating Backups of Your Files

You can create a backup of files in your hosting account using our script located at ~/bin/backup_httpdocs.php. This script will generate a backup within the directory ~/backup that contains the contents from these locations:

• ~/httpdocs
• ~/magento
• ~/magento2
• ~/releases
• ~/deployment
• ~/shared
• ~/private
• ~/media
• ~/current
• ~/deploy
• ~/application
• ~/app

If any of these directories are symlinks, the script will attempt to backup from the location they're linked to.

The script has excluded certain locations like:

• files/import_export
• media/catalog/product/cache
• media/import
• media/tmp
• var/cache
• var/debug
• var/full_page_cache
• var/log
• var/report
• var/page_cache
• var/session

Once the script finishes, it will display the name and location of the backup.
